Minnie Santos is the founder of VALORA Beauty & Wellness and a Licensed Massage Therapist and Licensed Esthetician. Her journey began in esthetics, where her passion for personalized beauty and self-care led to the creation of Mini Beauty Lounge and later Mini Beauty & Wellness . As her education and experience expanded into massage therapy, bodywork and wellness, so did the vision behind the business. That growth ultimately became VALORA a brand built around value, intentional care and restoration. For Minnie, this work is more than providing a service. Her approach begins with listening, understanding the individual and creating an experience that meets each client where they are. Her faith remains the foundation of how she leads and serves, with commitment to integrity excellence, compassion and purpose.

1. Let Your Hair Grow
Your hair should be at least 1/4 inch long (about the size of a grain of rice) to ensure the wax can effectively grab the hair.
2. Exfoliate the Area
Exfoliate two days before your appointment to remove dead skin cells and prevent ingrown hairs. Use a gentle scrub or exfoliating mitt.
3. Avoid Shaving
Please refrain from shaving before your appointment. Shaving can cause irritation and make waxing less effective.
4. Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol
It’s recommended to avoid caffeine or alcohol on the day of your appointment, as they can make your skin more sensitive during the waxing process.
5. Wear Loose Clothing
Wear loose, comfortable clothing to your appointment to avoid irritation or friction on the waxed area afterward.
6. Hydrate
Drink plenty of water in the days leading up to your appointment. Hydrated skin makes the waxing process easier and more comfortable.
7. Avoid Sun Exposure
Stay out of direct sunlight and avoid tanning for at least 24 hours before your wax to prevent irritation.
8. Consider an Over-the-Counter Pain Reliever
If you’re concerned about pain, you may take an over-the-counter pain reliever (such as ibuprofen) 30 minutes before your appointment to reduce discomfort.
9. Inform Your Esthetician of Any Skin Conditions
Let your esthetician know if you have any skin conditions, such as rashes or irritation, in the waxed area so they can adjust accordingly.
10. Relax and Communicate
Relax and communicate with your esthetician throughout the appointment. If you feel uncomfortable, don’t hesitate to let them know, and they will adjust their technique.
